In anticipation of receiving word in the near future on a proposal to purchase property for the community center project, board members have been diligently researching funding sources and educating themselves on how to effectively obtain grants. The group has enlisted the assistance of grant writing experts, purchased books outlining proper grant writing policies, and procedures in the State of Oregon and have begun work on a specific plan of action.

The CDO is also about to launch a website developed to provide information to the community on the community center project. The site will provide bios on current board members, will track progress of the various phases of the project, and will provide an avenue for community input into the process.
