Crooked

Thank you, thank you, thank you... to so many of you who contributed to the Community Center Project at our booth at the recent Buffalo Feed. Thanks also to those who took the time to visit and chat, and to give us their valuable input on amenities that they would like to see included in the Community Center.
The Crooked River Ranch Community Center Project is alive and well in spite of the fact that things have been moving quite slowly lately. The challenge is property acquisition. The majority of property owners who attended the Town Hall meetings voted that the community center be built "up above" near the proposed new fire hall.
That property is owned by the MacPherson family, and the CDO Board of Directors has been trying for quite some time to ascertain if and when the family would be interested in selling the property outright for a reasonable amount of money, or if they would be willing to donate ten acres. The CDO Board feels that we should have an answer I from the MacPherson shortly, and we will keep you posted. If this property does not materialize, the Board will, once again, address the issue of utilizing community property
The Community Development Organization (CDO) has been meeting regularly, for there is much work to be done. Don't miss out on this fabulous opportunity to "make a difference" in your community. People who have a willingness to work towards a common goal will certainly get excited about this fun project. Grant writers, planners, people with experience in non-profit management, events, fund raising, budgeting, construction, and project development are encouraged to call.
